Tweetstorms

The tweetstorm as a form

Tweetstorms give a loose, serial structure to their component tweets, but also leave those tweets largely independent both in the reader's experience and in the structure of reply chains. So they're not just a way to blast some information into public (however useful that function is); I think of them in the tradition of heroic couplets and ghazals. I'd rather read a pure list or a story on a blog or in a book, but semi-structured streams of information (like this) are great for tweetstorms.
