Hello!
I’ve been confused for years about how exactly to write online. That confusion, in retrospect, seems to come from simultaneous desires to both have a stable Web site that represents me and also to publish shorter-form, more ephemeral things. I don’t want my The Remains of the Day reading notes prominently featured on my Web site, but neither do I want essays to drift into archives. Of the available solutions to this problem, the cleanest seems to be to maintain both a personal site and a blog.
