Notes about this blog
Two notes:
I have been trying to distribute this blog in email form to those who want it that way. It's more time-consuming than I'd hoped. I'd like to support this eventually, but for now it's blog and RSS only.
I don't intend this as a generative AI blog per se, but this is a generative AI-heavy time in my life. If I were living through the French Revolution, I'd probably be spending a lot of time thinking about that. If you came here for book reviews or poker reflections: you'll see some of that, especially some months or years from now. If you're here for generative AI: don't be too surprised if you see occasional notes about kitchen optimizations, American novels, and other stuff.
Everything on this blog that is not clearly marked as an LLM output (or other quotation) comes from me. I use AI for research, editing, thinking through questions, transcribing voice memos, and organizing thoughts into groups, but not for making prose that I publish. I can't promise I'll never make a mechanical error and accidentally copy-paste an AI output in the wrong place (though to my knowledge I've never done this), but you can assume that the sentences here were written by me. (None of this is to disparage people whose processes include AI more directly in the writing. I've been happy to see other writers make their policies about this explicit, and thought I should also.)
